This Quilt was commissioned by Sundown State Bank and hangs in the lobby of the bank. Each Guild member picked a certain block to piece and then it was assembled by Audrey Morin, and everyone in the guild helped hand quilt it. Drop by the bank and take a look at it sometime. We felt very honored to do this project.
2012 Quilt Show Theme
Our theme for our quilt show last year was Stepping Out and we had a great time with this quilt. Some of our quilters didn't get in on this one, but the ones that did had a ball decorating their shoe. This hangs on the wall of our quilting room at the Senior Center.
Brownfield Chamber of Commerce
This quilt was our very first project and it now hangs on the wall of the Brownfield Camber of Commerce. As with the quilt to the left, we all chose a pattern, pieced the block and then turned it over to Audrey Morin to assemble . We had a great time sharing in the hand-quilting of this project. This was the time we all bonded as a Guild and learned how much fun it is to work together on something we all enjoy so much.
Terry County Commissioners
We were very honored when the Terry County Commissioners approached us to design a wall hanging that would depict the many things that describe Terry County. They used it as a door prize at one of the conferences they attend each year. They wanted something that no other county had ever used before. They were quite pleased with what the Guild came up with.
